American Structurepoint joined the US Army Corps of Engineers and City of Gary officials, including Gary Mayor Jerome Prince, at a groundbreaking ceremony for a force main replacement project in Gary.
The project includes the installation of 1,900 lft of new 48-inch force main, including a jack-and-bore under I-80. The project addresses sanitary sewer force main improvements on publicly owned property east of Chase Street between the Chase Street pump station and 25th Avenue.
American Structurepoint provided utility infrastructure design services on the project. The increased capacity will allow water to flow freely to the wastewater treatment plant, resulting in less water being diverted to Lake Michigan. American Structurepoint’s mission is to improve the quality of life in its communities, and this project is yet another innovative example of how we fulfill our mission.
