Thank you to everyone who brought in contributions for DREAM Alive’s Community Day food drive. We received the following note from DREAM Alive:

“The staff of DREAM Alive cannot thank all of you enough for supporting their scholars and organization with the 30-hour famine and Community Day. Your support made this year’s event so much more meaningful for the scholars and the impact they hoped to achieve.

Here are some numbers that came out of the event:

$5,000 was raised for Gleaners Food Bank – This $5,000 will provide backpacks for 25 children for an entire year. A check was given to Gleaners at the April 24th Pacers game.

230 volunteers went to Gleaners on May 16 and served the hungry in Indianapolis.  This is the largest group of volunteers from one event that Gleaners has ever had.
