DREAM Alive Christmas Events Return

Indianapolis staffers renewed their support of DREAM Alive Christmas activities by shopping with scholars to buy presents for children in need and later helping scholars wrap the presents.  COVID-19 pandemic protocols put a holiday damper on in-person activities in 2020, so our volunteers eagerly engaged with scholars to help provide Christmas cheer to students in need. The wrapping party took place November 30 at the Indianapolis Design Center. Ten scholars from Harshman Middle School looked like gift wrapping pros, thanks to (Santa’s) helpers Dyanne Allen, Darwin Acord, Anitra Lewis, Anna Menchaca, Liza Trant, and Maureen Walker. Scholars also enjoyed a sack lunch, snacks, and a drink courtesy of American Structurepoint. The wrapped gifts were delivered to Indianapolis families on Saturday, December 11. Thanks to all volunteers who either shopped, wrapped, or helped in distributing gifts this holiday season – we couldn’t do any of this without your participation.
