American Structurepoint continued a strong relationship with Turning Point Schools by hosting a field trip of seventh- and eighth-grade students at corporate headquarters. The students enjoyed lunch while hearing about career choices that thrive at our company. Nineteen employees gave five-minute presentations about their role with the company and what they do. The students learned about possible careers in roadway and bridge engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, environmental services, construction solutions, architecture and interior design, planning, and IT. Ms. Campbell, the students’ teacher, sent us the following about the field trip: “The great care, time, and effort put into our visit were evident. The students enjoyed the speakers who were very engaging and interesting, and the staff members were grateful to see (the students) exposed to such a wide range of careers, some of which they had never heard of. It was a wonderful, inspiring, eye-opening trip.”
