Canon/Eastern Story – July 25

Special visitors from Canon – Jason Williams, Yoshi Watanabe, Hiroshi Okubo, and Brian Coombs – came to our Indianapolis Office on July 25 to learn about our wide-format printing processes. Plotter Technician Jerry Bond showed the group around the plot room explaining how we use our KIP printers and printing software. Eastern Engineering representatives, Tony Dargo, and Matt Butler, were also onsite to answer questions about the printing technology. We were happy to be a part of the information-gathering process as Canon works toward their next big idea!

The KIP 9900 systems are the highest level of large-format printer that KIP produces that have industry-leading software components that maximizes production workflows and offer industry-leading print speeds with high-capacity paper handling and high-yield toner cartridges.  Our staff push these to the limits with approximately 22 print jobs on average per plotter each day.  Those print jobs vary in size and number of sheets.  According to Eastern Engineering, we have the best equipment which makes for the best plot room in the Indianapolis market for engineering firms.
