American Structurepoint projects and people appeared in the news media 25 times in October. Here’s a recap.

  • Officelovin.com, an online platform reaching 280,000+ architects, interior designers, graphic designers, and tech people each month, published a story and 10 photos highlighting our Indianapolis headquarters.   • Construction progresses at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette. Laying of turf and installation of the multi-media video board in October warranted continued media coverage. The Lafayette Journal & Courier and Stadium Journey.com published updates and the Ballpark Hunter posted a video on YouTube. Our architects designed the new stadium, scheduled to open late this year.
  • The Jeffersonville News and Tribune reported that American Structurepoint is providing construction inspection services to Indiana American Water for a $2.2 million main replacement project in New Albany.
  • The Princeton Daily Clarion reported that the Gibson County Commissioners and Gibson County Council approved building a new jail on a new site rather than expanding the existing jail. We are designing the new facility for the county, and the newspaper quoted Rick Conner as recommending building a $41.8 million facility that will serve the county for the next 20 years.
  • Building Excellence in Design and Construction Magazine reported on our collaboration with Mandy Cooper Design, T&W Corporation, and RJE to design and build Glasswater Creek of Plainfield, an affordable assisted living project for seniors in Plainfield, Indiana.
  • The Times of Northwest Indiana reported that American Structurepoint was one of four companies presenting plans to the St. John, Indiana town council regarding plans for the 93RD Avenue Corridor. The article quoted Eric Wolverton about our plans, including a possible roundabout.
  • The Hamilton County Reporter published an article about the groundbreaking ceremony for the East Street North Extension project in Westfield for which we are providing road design services. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • Building Indiana Magazine quoted Design Director Brandon Hoopingarner in an article of experts discussing how the pandemic is impacting construction, architecture, and engineering companies.
  • CIO Magazine quoted IT Director Adam Martin in an article of experts discussing the virtues of virtual reality technology collaboration in commercial environments.
  • Inside Indiana Business, Anderson Herald Bulletin, and Multi-Housing News reported on construction beginning at the Sweet Galilee of Anderson at the Wigwam affordable assisting living community in Anderson, Indiana. We are providing architecture, interior design, and civil engineering services for the facility projected to open in October 2021. (Please see the article appearing elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • Several outlets picked up news that Mohr Capital closed on 184 acres of land in Whiteland, Indiana that will be part of Phase I for the Mohr Logistics Park for which we have done civil engineering and master planning. Coverage occurred via Inside Indiana Business, com, WISH-TV Channel 8, and the Tyler Morning Telegraph in Tyler, Texas, which is near Mohr Capital’s home base of Dallas.
  • Inside Indiana Business, Cincinnati Business Courier, and Eagle Country 93 Radio of Lawrenceburg covered the groundbreaking for the $32 million Whiskey River Apartments, a high-end apartment development in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. We are the project architect and are providing landscape architecture, civil/site, and structural engineering services as well. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • The Corydon Democrat published an article updating its readers about the completion of Phase 2 of Peter J. Schickel Way. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • com and multiple Fort Wayne news outlets covered the completion of the State Boulevard realignment project that had a ribbon cutting in Fort Wayne on October 29. We designed the project that included a new bridge and a realigned State Boulevard from Clinton Street to Spy Run Avenue. (Please see the article appearing elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • The Chicago Tribune and Times of Northwest Indiana report that the City of Merrillville has accepted $10 million from the family of Dean and Barbara White for the naming rights to the Merrillville Community Center. We designed the new center.
  • IU Health.org reported that American Structurepoint is a key partner providing services for its consolidated hospital project and expanded medical campus in downtown Indianapolis that will be built over the next seven years.
