Our projects were mentioned in media coverage 30 times in August. Check out this month’s news recap.

• American Structurepoint’s teaming with CMS Corporation on a $32 million design-build project to renovate a historic hanger into multi-story office space to support a minimum 300-person mission at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base win was mentioned in an article on the CMS Corporation website.
• Many news organizations reported several times on various aspects of the September 1 launch of the Red Line, Indianapolis’ rapid bus transit system. The BRT runs 3 miles from Broad Ripple to the University of Indianapolis. We designed a segment of the line and provided program management to the Indianapolis Department of Public Works for construction of elevated bus stations and roadway improvements for the buses to operate safely. News organizations covering the Red Line include: trade publication Mass Transit Magazine, The Indianapolis Recorder, The Indianapolis Star, WRTV Channel 6, WISH-TV Channel 8, WTHR Channel 13, WXIN Channel 59, and WTTV Channel 4.
• The former American Structurepoint headquarters is now owned by the Community Health Network. The Indianapolis Business Journal and Building Indiana reported the acquisition, and the story was also highlighted on Cornerstone Companies’ website. • Multiple news outlets covered progress at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette, Indiana, throughout the month.  Demolition of the existing stadium received coverage from multiple news outlets including WLFI Channel 18, Lafayette Journal & Courier, and WBAA News.  Coverage of the August 27 groundbreaking appeared on these news sites: Lafayette Journal & Courier, the Purdue Exponent, WLFI Channel 18, Ballpark Digest, and Inside Indiana Business.  (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.
• The Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reported on the advancement of plans for a roundabout at Chestnut Ridge Road and Alternate Stare Route 83 in North Ridgeville, Ohio. American Structurepoint performed a study on the roundabout and its location.
• Residents on the northeast side of Indianapolis are unhappy about dead fish that resulted from a drained retention pond. DPW, the project owner, claims that the residents were notified about the killing of the fish. An email from an engineer at American Structurepoint in February 2018 was included in the report. The email articulated that the fish would not survive and the pond would need restocking. WTHR reported on the issue.
• Inside Indiana Business, Fort Wayne NBC, Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, and the Hagerman Group website shared the news of the opening of Promenade Park in Fort Wayne. American Structurepoint completed environmental studies and permitting for the project. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
• American Structurepoint is providing strategic comprehensive planning for Liberty Township in Ohio. The Journal News reported on the first community engagement meeting held to obtain public input for the plan.
• During a recent meeting, the Architecture + Interiors Group provided Noble County Commissioners with multiple preliminary schematic design options for a possible annex for some county offices in Albion, Indiana. KCP News reported on the meeting and quoted project architect Dan Weinheimer about the options.
• The South Side Leader and The Suburbanite reported on the authorization of a contract between the City of Green, Ohio and American Structurepoint for engineering services for two roundabouts along Massilon Road.
• The Journal Gazette reported on the status of the Allen County/Fort Wayne comprehensive plan selection process. American Structurepoint was listed as a respondent to the request for proposal.
• An article was published by the Richmond Palladium-Item about the former Reid Hospital property. American Structurepoint’s role in putting together a comprehensive plan for city was mentioned as was our work to develop recommendations for new uses for the Reid property.
• Columbus Business First reported on the Scioto Peninsula development project to which American Structurepoint is providing civil engineering services.
• Trade publication Tunnel Business Magazine published an extensive article on tunneling work for drainage improvements to prepare the SR 37 Corridor for its redesign from signalized intersections to more of a parkway with roundabouts like Keystone Parkway. American Structurepoint is managing the entire design team for the project and is designing the 126th and 131st street interchanges.
