Remember the movie “Hoosiers,” about a little basketball team that played their best basketball ever to win the state tournament? Cinema fantasy became reality on March 3 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a young Sheridan boys’ basketball team coached by Kristy Grinstead.  Kristy took over as head coach for the Sheridan Community Recreation 5th grade boys basketball team once coached by her husband, Joe. Joe and Kristy’s son, Hayden, is a team member. The Blackhawks played their hearts out and came away as the champions of the 2019 IYBL Gold Bracket Tournament! Congratulations to the Grinstead family and all team members for pulling off this awesome win.
