Our Planning team recently achieved a fast-track first – completing a 144-page comprehensive plan in three months’ time. New Castle, Indiana, hired American Structurepoint to update the City’s comprehensive plan to define and reinforce the community’s overall vision, values, and policy objectives. The City will use the comprehensive plan as a growth and development road map for the future. Normally, such a massive plan takes nearly a year to complete. In this case, the client set an aggressive time frame in which to gather community input, hold plan development sessions with steering committee members and stakeholders, and distill all information into a workable plan that could be adopted in Q1 of 2018.  The Planning team knew that they could leverage their recent work and relationships developed during the Henry County Comprehensive Plan that provided a great base of information to help the team quickly sprint off to the finish line. The team rose to the challenge and produced an awesome plan. Not only that, but they orchestrated a highly successful public outreach program, receiving 400 responses to an online survey in under two weeks.
