On July 14th, 23 of our summer interns came together for a fun-filled day. The day started with a breakfast at the office where everyone introduced themselves. Everyone understands the importance of networking, even when young! After breakfast, we headed to St. Mary’s Child Center where everyone volunteered for two hours ranging from wiping down cabinets to installing tires in the playground. Without our community helping out each other, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Following the service was a panel luncheon followed by nine holes of golf up in Noblesville’s Harbour Trees Golf Course. The panel consisted of five executive speakers: Sam Mishelow (Mejer Najem), Adairius Gardner (IU Health), Jeremy Kashman (City of Carmel), Mike McBride, and Rick Conner. All of the interns learned invaluable information from all of these speakers that will help grow their careers. Following lunch was the golf portion of the day. Being surrounded by good company and good weather made for a perfect day. Special shoutout to Ben Braun and Pamela Shew for putting this event together. From all the interns, thank you!
