An Indianapolis neighborhood park received a makeover, thanks to three of our engineers joining with fellow I-69 Finish Line team members for a recent Day of Service. Staff Engineer Jordan Bosse, Staff Engineer Aleksander Venturino, and Senior Project Engineer Calvin Herr (all Indianapolis Design Center) were part of the “Bluff Park Crew” tackling several improvement projects at the southside Indy park. They, along with volunteers from HNTB, INDOT, Milestone, and Parsons, took to shovels, wheelbarrows, and paintbrushes to complete the following.
- Spreading mulch on a playground area
- Repainting picnic tables and the supports of a picnic shelter
- Regrading and spreading new crushed limestone on a walking path
- Dressing up the ground around player benches at three baseball/softball field dugout areas
- Regrading infield dirt and spreading infield conditioner at the three fields
- Repairing backstop fences
