American Structurepoint projects and people appeared in the news media 25 times in September. Here’s a recap.
- Cleveland.com reported that the City of Medina entered into an agreement with American Structurepoint to provide design services for the $2 million reconstruction of Phase 4 of the West Smith Road project.
- Associated Construction Publications picked up our news release regarding Rick Conner achieving ASCE Fellow distinction.
- Our own Adam Martin is quoted on CIO.com and the UK’s Tech Register regarding virtual reality solutions for the business world.
- The Dearborn County Blogspot reported that the county commissioners approved a $387,460 contract with American Structurepoint for the design of Bridge #33 North Hogan.
- The Greensburg Daily News and WRBI Radio Batesville published articles about the groundbreaking in Greensburg for Phase 2 of the $13 million Veterans Way project that will construct a new gateway corridor joining North Michigan Avenue to the Greensburg business district.
- Columbus Business First published an article detailing the $500 million Scioto Peninsula project that held a groundbreaking on Monday. We are doing civil work on the two Flaherty & Collins multi-family mixed-used projects including in Scioto Peninsula’s first phase. - Columbus Business First published an article about Texas developer Parallel Co.’s pitch to build a 6-story student housing project near Ohio State for which we are doing civil work.
- Engineering News-Record published an extensive article about the I-69 project between Martinsville and Indianapolis. We are part of a team designing the last leg of the project.
- Hotel Carmichael continues to attract media interest, this time in Top Hotel News, Current in Carmel, and Hotel Executive.com.
- Columbus Underground published an article about construction progress at Atcheson Place Lofts, an affordable housing project for which we’ve done civil and survey work.
- News of a proposed 334-acre Whiteland Logistics Park off I-65 in Whiteland, Indiana, for which did the master plan and civil engineering work, caught the attention of the Johnson County Daily Journal.
- An article in the Crawfordsville Journal Review reported on progress on the Nucor Road corridor in Montgomery County, Indiana. A feasibility report we did regarding the multi-phased corridor has been submitted to INDOT for review. We are doing the design work for the new roadway as well.
- The Jeffersonville News and Tribune published an article that recognized our work on the award-winning regional economic development plan we created for the Our Southern Indiana Regional Development Authority.
- An article in The Chicago Tribune gave an update on paving projects in Lake Station, Indiana for which we did the design work and are providing CI for all 16 projects currently underway.
- The opening of a new trail/sidewalk connecting Janus Development Services to the Midland Trace Trail warranted coverage in the Hamilton Daily Reporter, The Noblesville Times, and Current in Noblesville. Our Civil Engineering Group provided design of the trail. (Please see the article appearing elsewhere in the newsletter.)
- The AIM Terminal Newsletter published a sponsored article regarding our work with four communities – Hammond, Kokomo, Lafayette, and Merrillville – to design and build sports and recreation facilities. The article also promoted our AIM Ideas Summit virtual presentation on the same topic that will occur Oct. 7 from 10 to 11 a.m.
- The Indianapolis Business Journal and Inside Indiana Business reported that work on the long-stalled Wilshaw Hotel project in Speedway may resume next year now that the developer has a new partnership agreement. We did the staking for this project.
- The Indianapolis Star published a comprehensive review of the Red Line BRT’s progress since it has been open for one year. The article also covered lessons learned regarding plans for the Purple Line and Blue Line additions for which we are doing program management for the Indianapolis Department of Public Works.
