A breathtaking drone shot of a sunset over West Boggs Lake in Loogootee earned Evansville Construction Inspector Jason Greene an award in the 12th annual Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest. Jason’s photo, entitled “Sunset Flight,” won in the Conservation category. The 2020 contest received over 400 submissions, and 10 winners in four categories emerged victorious.
Jason says he saw the sun setting as he finished playing golf at West Boggs Park, and he knew he had to get his DJI drone into the air. Birds immediately surrounded the drone, but Jason kept shooting. The award- winning shot occurred with a shutter speed of 1/1600, ISO of 100, and f/2.2. Jason received his prize at an Indiana Statehouse ceremony, and his photo will hang for the next year in Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch’s offices. All winning photos are available at this link. Jason considers himself a hobby photographer and even started his own aerial photography business Midwest Drone Services, LLC. Way to go, Jason!
