American Structurepoint people and projects appeared in the media 27 times in August. Here’s a recap.
- Approval of a professional services agreement with American Structurepoint to begin design work for a roundabout at Leesburg and Main streets, as well as an extension from that roundabout to a new signalized intersection on Jefferson Boulevard, warranted coverage in the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly.
- The Warsaw Times-Union reported that the Warsaw Redevelopment Commission approved an amendment to an engineering agreement with American Structurepoint for $36,000 for additional construction engineering oversight of the Buffalo Street reconstruction project.
- The City of Upper Arlington website reported that American Structurepoint representatives were performing annual inspection of the city’s bridges and culverts the week of August 3.
- Inside Indiana Business published an article about a new STEM program being offered at Cathedral High School that we are taking part in. Ross Nixon will head up our contributions to the program.
- Multiple Columbus, Ohio media outlets reported on plans for an 8-story mixed-use project in downtown Columbus called Vera on Broad for which we are providing civil/site and land surveying services. They included The Columbus Dispatch, The Columbus Navigator, and Columbus Underground.
- Several outlets covered the grand opening of Carmel’s upscale Hotel Carmichael, for which we provided structural engineering services. These included Inside Indiana Business, Indianapolis Business Journal, The Indianapolis Star, Hamilton County Reporter, Current in Carmel, and WISH-TV Channel 8. - The Princeton Daily Clarion continued its ongoing coverage of the Gibson County Jail project. The County Council approved an additional $300,000 appropriation for us to begin the study, site selection, and architectural work for a new or expanded jail in Princeton.
- Inside Indiana Business and WRTV Channel 6 presented multiple perspectives on the opening of the 16 Tech Innovation District in Indianapolis. We provided infrastructure service and did roadway design for the extension of Gent Avenue in the district, and provided civil engineering and environmental services for Innovation Building 1 in the district.
- KPC News and the Angola Herald Republican published an extensive story about the next phase of the North Wayne Street project in Angola for which we are providing roadway engineering design services.
- Inside Indiana Business reported that the IU Board of Trustees approved the university’s legislative capital request for the next biennium including a new IU School of Medicine just north of downtown for which we are doing structural engineering.
- WXIN Fox 59, WFYI Channel 20, WRTV Channel 6, and Indy Hub.org reported on virtual public meetings regarding the Purple Line project, the next leg of the Indianapolis BRT project for which we are doing program management for the Indianapolis Department of Public Works. Construction is to start in 2021, with completion in 2023.
- The Johnson County Daily Journal and Inside Indiana Business published articles about the ceremonial groundbreaking on a 1 million sft Cooper Tire warehouse in Whiteland, Indiana for which we are doing civil/site engineering.
