Senior Staff Engineer Jerica Barlow (Structural Engineering Group) landed in the social media spotlight last month for her volunteer work with Paws & Think. The Indianapolis-based nonprofit serves the community through the power of the human-dog connection. They serve at-risk youth, at-risk canines, those with special needs, and the communities in which these groups reside through various programs. Jerica has been a Paws & Think volunteer since 2017 when she sought out the organization to register her dog, Rocky, as a therapy dog. Jerica, who says she has been passionate about dogs since childhood, volunteers with Rocky as a team. She recently took on the role of new volunteer liaison responsible for onboarding new volunteers, sending welcoming communications, and entering new volunteer information into databases. Jerica and Rocky also regularly visit the Glendale Library in Indianapolis as part of the Paws to Read program. You can read the entire Instagram post at this link.
