A June 12 topping-out ceremony for the high-end, $40 million Carmichael Hotel at Carmel City Center in Hamilton County attracted many visitors, including Structural Engineering team members. We provided structural engineering services for this 122-room boutique hotel that also features 4,000 sft of meeting space, a specialty restaurant, and a cabaret-style music club. Carmel leaders expect the hotel to serve as a powerful tourism and economic development tool to lure visitors and new corporate headquarters. The hotel, part of Marriott’s most exclusive brand known as the Autograph Collection, is expected to open in May 2020.
