American Structurepoint Makes Headlines

American Structurepoint projects and people landed in the news media and on the internet a whopping 34 times in October. Check out this recap.

  • Inside Indiana Business and Noblesville Magazine reported that the $24 million Finch Creek Fieldhouse, for which we provided land survey and civil engineering services, celebrated an invitation-only grand opening. The 75,000-sft facility has an indoor turf field for football, soccer, lacrosse, and rugby; 11 pitching and hitting tunnels for baseball and softball; and five hard-surface courts for basketball and volleyball.
  • Radio station WBIW in Bedford, Indiana, reported that American Structurepoint is the design firm and will provide onsite construction inspection services for the next phases of the Fullerton Pike Corridor project in Bloomington. The $4.9 million project includes replacing a bridge over Clear Creek in 2019 and building a roundabout at Gordon Pike and Rogers Street in 2020.
  • Several news media outlets reported that American Structurepoint will design and engineer a $15 million project to widen and improve SR 32 through downtown Westfield. These include The Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside Indiana Business, The Noblesville Times, The Hamilton County Reporter, Indiana Construction News, and Building Indiana. Construction will begin in late 2022.
  • The Hamilton County Reporter and Current in Carmel reported that the first two floors of the Riverview Health Westfield Hospital are now officially open to the public. We provided multiple services for the hospital, including architecture, interior design, civil, and structural engineering. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • News appeared on multiple websites that the anchor building for the 16 Tech Innovation District, for which we are providing civil engineering services, is fully leased. These include the IBJ, Inside Indiana Business, and Newschamber of Indiana.com.
  • WYRZ radio station in Hendricks County, Indiana, reported on a public information meeting hosted by the Town of Avon regarding plans to improve County Road 100 South between Dan Jones Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway. We are providing engineering design and environmental services for the project.  The station also reported that we received a Monumental Award for the Florence Fay School Senior Apartments.   • The Crawfordsville Journal-Review and The Paper of Montgomery County reported that the county approved a $30,000 agreement with American Structurepoint to provide bridge engineering services while creating a bridge asset management plan.
  • Building Indiana Magazine published multiple features with an American Structurepoint connection. The magazine updated its readers about the Knowledge Services headquarters project for which we are providing architecture and master planning services, and about the $120 million State Street project in West Lafayette for which we provided technical assistance and construction inspection services. Executive Vice President Jack Lashenik was featured on the cover along with nine other construction industry leaders discussing trends in the industry.
  • The IBJ published a lengthy feature about $1.4 billion mixed-use development plans for Waterside, the former home of the 103-acre GM stamping plant just west of downtown Indianapolis. We are providing civil engineering services for the project being developed by Ambrose Property Group.  The Indianapolis Star, Inside Indiana Business, WXIN Channel 59, WTTV Channel 4,  and ReJournals.com also covered the announcement of the plans.
  • The Evansville Courier & Press reported on two projects for which we are providing road design services: the $12.4 million Oak Hill Road project and the $9.1 million Kansas Road project.
  • Inside Indiana Business reported that Vice President Ben Borcherding is a finalist for the Indy’s Best and Brightest Award.
  • The Fort Wayne News-Sentinel and The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette reported the results of a downtown parking study conducted by American Structurepoint.
  • The Greensburg Daily News  reported that American Structurepoint has nearly completed all design work for Phase II of the Veterans Way project.
  • Inside Indiana Business featured 10 years of development at River Ridge Commerce Center (RRCC), the 6,000-acre former home of the US Army ammunition depot at Jeffersonville/Charlestown that now houses more than 50 businesses. We have completed multiple roadway design and construction inspection projects at RRCC and worked to create a comprehensive strategic plan for the RRCC.
  • WRTV Channel 6  in Indianapolis updated its viewers about construction progress at $40 million 96th Street and Keystone Parkway roundabout project for which we are providing construction inspection services.
  • WLFI Channel 18  in West Lafayette reported on the completion of the Restore Sagamore Project, a four-year, three-phased project to update Sagamore Parkway between Greenbush and Main streets. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
