Heavy Haul Route Breaks Ground in Jeffersonville

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Heavy Haul Transportation Corridor in Jeffersonville, Indiana marked the start of construction on the latest segment of the roadway. The new $14.5 million, 2-lane roadway will provide a continuous route for heavy haul vehicles between River Ridge Commerce Center and the Port of Indiana at Jeffersonville via SR 265 and Old Salem Road. American Structurepoint provided environmental services, right-of-way-engineering, utility, and railroad design services for the project, expected to be open to traffic by the end of 2021.
