American Structurepoint is teaming with the City of Wabash, Indiana, to create a Community Revitalization Plan due by November 2015. Wabash was named one of 50 quarter-finalist communities in the America’s Best Communities competition, a $10 million national initiative to stimulate economic revitalization in small towns and cities. The Revitalization Plan will focus on visitor amenities, neighborhood revitalization, parks and recreation, entrepreneurial support, and economic development. Fifteen semi-finalists will be named in January 2016, and eight winners of the semi-final round will receive $100,000 each to continue implementation of their plans. In April 2017, the competition will name its three top winners—those with the most innovative proposals being implemented. The winning community will receive $3 million, with $2 million for second place and $1 million going to the third-place community.
