Promotions in the News

Seven employees received recent promotions, thanks to their strong job performance and continued growth opportunities. Read on for the details.

Rob Chappelle – Team Leader, Cleveland Road Group

Since joining our Cleveland Design Center in February 2020, Rob has been instrumental in the growth and success of the Ohio Road Group. His client relationships and project management skills have helped developed new opportunities as well as secure several key project wins. His management and production work on the $100 million, CUY-90 interstate project and the City of Medina Smith Road project have been critical to establishing our reputation in a new market. Rob is an excellent mentor, and he is always willing to help in any way he can to drive the success of the company.

 

Sarah Everhart – Project Manager, Indianapolis Environmental Services Group

In her new role, Sarah will take on more responsibility for the management and delivery of projects, including technical direction and quality control on environmental documents, as well as revenue, billing, and developing proposals. Sarah joined American Structurepoint in 2018, with previous experience at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and as a staff scientist at an environmental consulting firm. Sarah provides project-level leadership to our Environmental Group staff through mentoring as well as managing our Red Flag Investigation (RFI) process. (RFI) is a quantitative analysis of infrastructure, water, hazardous materials, historical features, and other data within a half-mile of a proposed transportation projects.

 

Briana Hope – Environmental Services Director, Indianapolis Design Center

In her new role, Briana leads production of our Indiana environmental team and is responsible for operational management. She will support companywide environmental pursuits and well as leading select projects – such as our recent Environmental Services on-call contract with INDOT and the environmental aspects of the US 30/US31 PEL project we are partnering on with CDM Smith.  Bri joined American Structurepoint as a staff scientist in 2002 after graduating from Purdue University’s Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) program. During her 19 years here, Bri has developed considerable expertise in NEPA documentation as well as wetland delineation and permitting. She is a highly respected leader in the environmental industry, especially on transportation-related environmental work, and currently co-chairs the ACEC INDOT/Environmental subcommittee.

 

Megan Irving – Project Engineer, Indianapolis Civil Engineering Group

Megan’s promotion is part of our strategic plan to better serve our clients. In her new role, Megan will be the technical design expert and lead projects while serving as a mentor to our staff engineers and designers. Megan joined the Civil Engineering Group shortly after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in August 2019. She quickly learned the technical components of site design, and her strong skill set in grading/stormwater management design has made her a trusted and vital asset to the team. She also took the initiative to create and develop a Lunch & Learn series to help promote growth and provide another resource for staff engineers and designers.

 

Tony Lenhart – Team Leader, Columbus Road Group

Tony started in the Columbus office in 2006 and has been with American Structurepoint his entire career. He has helped shape our growth in Ohio as we grew from a dozen staff to over 90 employees located across three design centers. Tony’s hard work and focus on quality and customer service helped us win and retain several key clients. He provides hands-on technical solutions, and his personal relationships with staff and clients is what makes him unique. Tony works hard to energize our staff and make our jobs more enjoyable.

 

Kyle Messaros – Team Leader, Columbus Road Group

Kyle joined American Structurepoint in May 2021 after spending 20 years with a local Columbus firm. His wealth of design and management experience adds the much-needed capacity that the Columbus Design Center requires for continued successful growth. Kyle’s technical expertise, combined with his outgoing personality, has quickly earned him the trust and respect of the Road Group. Kyle works hard to deliver quality plans and to build trust with co-workers and clients. He is establishing himself as a leader on some of our more complex projects. Kyle has also begun passing on his technical and professional knowledge to the next generation of engineers.

 

Leigh Stevenson – Senior Environmental Specialist, Indianapolis Environmental Services Group

In her new role, Leigh will be responsible for guiding the technical aspects of ecological work in Indiana, developing environmental documentation, and providing real-time quality control on transportation-related environmental documents. She joined American Structurepoint in 2020 after working three years at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. Leigh brings a high level of professionalism and has been instrumental in developing and implementing our environmental plan review and permitting process for the I-69 Section 6.5 project. Additionally, Leigh is an emerging leader in our wetlands/waterways field delineation work.
