American Structurepoint projects and people appeared in the news media 26 times in October. Here’s a recap.

  • The ITE Technical Resources webpage featured our design and program management work on the Range Line Road corridor in Carmel as part of its salute to Pedestrian Safety Month. The road diet increases pedestrian safety thanks to multi-use paths, raised crosswalks and key midblock crossing locations.
  • The Hamilton County Reporter and Current of Westfield published a photo of the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the north East Street extension in Westfield we designed.
  • The Circleville, Ohio City Council heard from American Structurepoint’s Frank Aransky about three options for a railroad grade separation project in that city. The Circleville Herald, Scioto Post, and Railway, Tracks & Structures News reported that American Structurepoint is in the beginning stages of an initial study and a feasibility study will be next.
  • Our work on a property condition assessment of a downtown Indianapolis structure providing parking for City-County Building employees made news in the Indianapolis Star.
  • Multiple news and trade publication outlets reported the December 5 opening date for the new IU Health Bloomington Hospital for which we provided structural engineering services. Coverage appeared in the Becker’s Hospital Review, Bloomington Herald-Times, Indiana Public Media, Journal of Healthcare, Spencer Evening World, and WBIW Radio.
  • Columbus civil engineering, land surveying, and traffic engineering staff are working on a mixed-use project in Franklinton making news in the Columbus Dispatch. The project, known as Gravity III, includes two buildings providing 237,000 sft of commercial and residential space, including 322 apartments.
  • A PressWire news release recognized American Structurepoint as the architect for Astral at Franklin, a senior living community currently under construction in Franklin, Indiana. Scheduled to open in spring 2022, the facility will provide independent living, assisted living, and memory care options.
  • The Bonita Springs News told its readers American Structurepoint was chosen to provide engineering and construction plans for the Imperial Parkway drainage improvement project.
  • The Evansville Courier & Press and Construction Review Online published news that construction is underway on the $4.6 million Kansas Road project we designed for Vanderburgh County. The new roadway will be completed by December 2022.
  • A luxury apartment and urban grocer project in downtown Columbus, Indiana, for which we provided architectural design services, received the green light to proceed says the Columbus Republic.
  • The logistics of moving 2,400 inmates, 600 employees, all Marion County court offices, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department to the new Community Justice Campus in Indianapolis received coverage in the Indianapolis Business Journal. American Structurepoint provided structural and architectural engineering services for the Adult Detention Center (ADC) and the Marion County Sheriff’s building. Moving operations begin in early December.
  • WBRI Radio and the Greensburg Daily News published photos and news of the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the completion of the Veterans Way Phase II project we designed. (Please see the article appearing elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • The Toledo Blade reported on the architecture design work we did to convert a World War II-era hangar at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to a program executive office.
  • The Findlay (Ohio) Courier reported American Structurepoint was a finalist to provide a new comprehensive plan for that city; however, we were not chosen to complete the plan.
  • The conclusion of construction at the $25 million Adelphi Quarter Apartment Complex on East Long Street in Columbus, Ohio caught the attention of Columbus Business First. We provided civil engineering, land surveying, and road design services for this project that also includes 9,000 sft of commercial and retail space along with 130 apartment units spread throughout four buildings.
