Ohio Project Wins Top Award from ASHE Triko Valley

Our Glendale-Milford Road/Lake Forest Road roundabout project in Blue Ash, Ohio, won the 2020 Donald C. Schramm Transportation Improvement Award for projects costing $5 million and under. The roundabout at the entrance to Summit Park, a regional recreational destination, replaced a two-way, stop-controlled intersection that was too congested to handle the increasing traffic flow in the rapidly developing areas. Project elements included a multi-use path, traffic control, new storm sewer system, lighting, and landscaping.

Three projects from among all entrants were chosen as finalists for the award given by the Triko Valley Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE). The chapter’s membership voted the Blue Ash roundabout as the best project after hearing a Zoom presentation given by our very own Tony Lenhart. Congratulations to all who worked on this project and who contributed to the award submittal and presentation!
