American Structurepoint Makes Headlines

Our projects were mentioned in media coverage 15 times in May. Check out this month’s news recap.

  • The Indianapolis Star and radio station WIBC reported that the Red Line bus rapid transit system will officially open for business on Sunday, September 1. American Structurepoint is one of the designers for the project.
  • Several trade publications published news of our first-place win in the national ARTBA Globe Awards program. They included Transportation News Today, Informed Infrastructure, and Construction Equipment Guide. (Please see the article elsewhere in the newsletter for more information.)
  • Upcoming traffic changes to improve traffic flow at the 96th Street and Keystone Parkway intersection currently under construction received coverage in The Indianapolis Star and WRTV Channel 6 news. We are providing construction inspection and program management services for the project that is converting the intersection to a roundabout and building a bridge on Keystone over 96th Street.
  • The Indianapolis Business Journal wrote an extensive article about the successes and future challenges of the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield as it marks its fifth anniversary. American Structurepoint was responsible for the park’s engineering effort and designed several facilities at the complex.
  • The Chicago Tribune and The Northwest Times of Indiana reported on progress to reach a contract with American Structurepoint to design a community center in Merrillville, as well as how the city will finance the center. (Please see the President’s Column for more information.)
  • Evansville media continue to cover expansion plans for the Vanderburgh County Jail. We are providing a cost analysis and an initial conceptual design for the jail expansion. The Evansville Courier & Press and Tri-State Homepage.com updated their readers on the project’s progress.
  • The Evansville Courier & Press reported on two contracts the Evansville Water & Sewer Utility reached with us related to our work on the Refresh Evansville program. (Please see the President’s Column for more information.)
  • The New Castle Courier Times reported that two comprehensive plans for two different Henry County communities completed by American Structurepoint received awards from the Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association. The City of New Castle’s plan received the top award from the organization and Henry County’s comprehensive plan received the second place award in the same category.
  • Approval of a contract with American Structurepoint for roadway design work for Airport Road Phase 2 in Gary warranted coverage in The Gary Post-Tribune.
