Indy 500 Grid Winners

Thanks to all who participated in the Indy 500 Grid to raise money for our Community Service efforts. Participants’ names were drawn and matched randomly with starting positions. All winners will select a charity to receive a donation from Community Service. We’ll report on the charity recipients in next month’s newsletter. Here are the winners.

  • First place – Rich Zielinski ($400 to charity)
  • Second place – Valerie Klingman ($300 to charity)
  • Third place – Melody Niquette ($200 to charity)
  • Leading at 250 miles – Gina Sessions ($150 to charity)
  • First car out of race – Darwin Accord ($150 to charity)

Panel Build 2.0 on July 26

Get ready to hammer down and power up for a great cause. Look for communication to arrive soon about signing up for the Habitat for Humanity Panel Build at our Indianapolis office the morning of Thursday, July 26. work off some workplace stress while you work up a sweat and have fun with your coworkers, building a house frame right in our parking lot! Our first panel build in 2017 was a huge success, and we are ready for doing even better this year. The chili cookoff is the next day (July 27), and we’ll leave the frame up in our parking lot so that all your client guests can appreciate your hard work!

 

Recent Fund Distributions

Community Service recently sent these funds to these organizations:

  • $1,000 – Safe Haven Baby Boxes, an organization that works hard to ensure that infants do not die because of abandonment. Our donation will provide 24/7 alarm system monitoring for one year on a baby box so that emergency personnel are notified when a child is placed in the Safe Haven baby box.
  • $1,000 – Scholarshop Africa, which is an organization that partners with schools and other local stakeholders to give students opportunities to improve themselves and their communities in exchange for essential school supplies. Our donation will provide funds to allow ten Cameroon and West Africa students to earn the cost of school and exam fees.
  • 500 – Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis, an organization that serves girls ages 6 to 18 helping them to value, discover, and develop their inherent strengths. Our donation will provide snacks for Girls Inc.’s summer camp program that starts June 11.
  • $500 – Mariah Roberts family, to help defray medical expenses due to Mariah’s sickle cell anemia.
  • $500 – American Legion Post 155 in Carmel, Indiana, in support of their Distressed Veterans program.
