Ben Harvey Joins Podcast Craze to Talk Environmental Law

Senior Environmental Scientist Ben Harvey can now add podcast contributor to his resume. Ben was a guest on the Faegre Baker Daniels Notice & Comment podcast entitled “The War Over Waters of the United States.” Ben joined Faegre Baker Daniels partner Max Kelln, the podcast’s creator, to discuss issues swirling around the new definition of Waters of the US and what that means to developers and agribusiness. As Facebook says, it’s complicated, but Ben shared his American Structurepoint expertise in sorting out the confusion. Ben and Max met by working for the same client, and the two soon collaborated to lead a couple of presentations at environmental law conferences in Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Max next asked Ben to join him on his monthly podcast to deliver the presentation content via the nation’s biggest emerging media platform. Forty percent of Americans age 12 and older now say they have listened to a podcast. The episode was recorded at Faegre Baker Daniels’ downtown Indy office. Ben also scored a first – he’s the first non-attorney outside guest to join the law firm’s podcast. Ben says of his experience, “It was a lot of fun to do. I listen to podcasts myself, so it was interesting to see the process and finished product once it was posted. After doing a number of environmental presentations over the years to gain exposure for our American Structurepoint expertise, it is good to have another avenue for us.” You can hear Ben during the 38-minute segment available on iTunes or on the law firm’s website.
