American Structurepoint Makes Headlines

American Structurepoint projects and people landed in the news media and on the internet 28 times in April. Check out this recap.

  • The former General Motors stamping plant site near downtown Indianapolis for which we are providing civil engineering services landed in the news several times in April. The Indianapolis Star, IBJ, and Inside Indianapolis Business published multiple articles when Ambrose Property Group closed on the property.
  • The Indianapolis Business Journal and The Hamilton County Reporter published articles about progress in accepting bids for the estimated $23 million Hamilton County Governmnet and Judicial Center expansion designed by our architects. We also are providing landscape architecture, survey, civil, and structural services for the project.
  • The soft opening of the 7-story Noblesville Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center that our architects and interior design staff designed received much press in the local and trade publication media. Inside Indiana Business, The Noblesville Times, and trade publications Hospitality.net, Hotel Executive.com, and RusTourism News all published articles.
  • The Chicago Tribune reported that Merrillville has hired American Structurepoint to create a new building design for a proposed Merrillville Community Center. We also will provide marketing materials to help in the fundraising effort to build the facility.
  • WTTV Channel 4 and WXIN Channel 59 News reported that construction on the Red Line bus rapid transit line in Indianapolis would begin soon. We have done much design work on a segment of the Red Line and are doing program management the project for the Indianapolis Department of Public Works.
  • WRTV Channel 6 reported on the City of Carmel releasing its 2018 tentative road construction schedule. One of our road design projects – a roundabout at Third Street SW and City Center Drive – is on the list.
  • Trade publications REJournals.com and REBusiness Online reported that we are doing civil engineering services for a new 122,000-sft distribution facility on Indianapolis’ east side for Ferguson Enterprises’ plumbing division.
  • The Chesterton Tribune reported on two change orders for design work we’ve done on the Administration Center Plaza for Porter County, Indiana.
  • The Winchester News-Gazette reported that the Randolph County Comprehensive Plan coordinated by American Structurepoint was approved by the Randolph County Board of Commissioners.
  • The Elkhart Truth reported that American Structurepoint was among six companies providing funds so that citizens could receive free trees at the Elkhart Arbor Day celebration.
  • The Lebanon Reporter published an article about a public hearing that kicked off the I-65 interchange feasibility study that we are conducting. The article also quoted project manager Ken Olson.
  • The Northwest Times of Indiana reported that a contract was approved hiring American Structurepoint as the architect for the renovation and expansion of the Michigan City courthouse.
  • Suburbanite.com published an update about a 2017 feasibility study we conducted for the City of Green, Ohio ranking seven problematic intersections for possible conversion to roundabouts.
  • Our sponsorship of the April 9 luncheon featuring Surgeon General Jerome Adams, MD, received coverage in The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Northern Kentucky Tribune. (Please see article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
