American Structurepoint Makes Headlines

American Structurepoint projects and people landed in the news media and on the internet 23 times in March. Check out this recap.

  • News about major progess in the 16 Tech project (for which we are providing multiple services) received much media coverage. Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside Indiana Business, The Indianapolis Star, radio station WIBC 93.1 FM, and WRTV Channel 6 ran multiple stories about three new buildings planned for the area and about infastructure projects. (Please see article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • The Jeffersonville (Indiana) Evening News and Tribune reported on a public hearing during which several residents spoke out against the preferred route for a heavy haul road that will connect River Ridge Commerce Center to the Jeffersonville Port. The article quoted Leah Boits, who attended the public hearing because we are reponsible for NEPA documentation for this project, which includes public involvement.
  • The LaPorte County Herald-Argus reported that the LaPorte County Commissioners are moving forward with a $15 million renovation and expansion of the Michigan City Courthouse. American Structurepoint is providing multiple engineering and design services for the project. (Please see article elsewhere in the newsletter.)
  • Trade publication Indiana Construction News published an article reported on GEICO’s $16 million expansion of its Carmel facility for which we are providing architecture and interior design services.
  • The Northwest Times of Indiana reported that American Structurepoint is providing roadway design services for the extension of Montdale Road at the Montdale Industrial Park in Valparaiso.
  • The Chicago Tribune and the Chesterton Tribune reported that the Porter County Board of Commissioners hired American Structurepoint to provide architectural design work for its first capital improvement project: the Porter County Government North County Complex in Portage. We also are doing interior design, survey, civil, structural, and landscape architecture services.
  • Lafayette TV Station WLFI Channel 18 reported that work will soon begin on Loeb Stadium for which we are doing the design work.
  • Lafayette TV Station WLFI Channel 18 also reported that American Structurepoint has been hired to find the caue of a mositure problem inside Lafayette Fire Station Number Five.
  • The Lebanon Reporter published an update about additional items that will be included in a US 52 and I-65 interchange feasibility study that we are conducting. The study will also include looking at possible routes that could carry SR 39 traffic onto I-65.
  • The Indianapolis Star updated readers about roundabout plans for the SR 37 corridor in Fishers. We are providing design and engineering service to convert SR 37 from 126th Street to 146th Street from signalized intersections to a Keystone Parkway-type roadway.
  • CantonRep.com in Canton, Ohio reported that the City of Green approved two engineering contracts with American Structurepoint for two roundabout projects in the Massillon Road corridor. (Please see article elsewere in the newsletter.)
