American Structurepoint Makes Headlines

American Structurepoint projects and people landed in the news media and on the internet 20 times in January. Check out this recap:

  • Five media outlets published articles about the ceremonial groundbreaking for the $389 million IU Health Regional Academic Center and IU Health Bloomington Hospital. These included the Bloomington Herald-Times, Inside Indiana Business, trade publication Medical Training Magazine, radio station WBIW in Bedford, Indiana, and WXIN Channel 59 in Indianapolis.   • Columbus Business First reported that American Structurepoint is the civil engineer for a $150 million, 27-story mixed-use high-rise development in downtown Columbus called Millenial Tower.
  • Columbus Business First and the Digital Journal reported that we provided civil engineering services for an 89-unit downtown apartment developed called 303 that offers residents high-tech smart-apartment amenities.
  • Inside Indiana Business, The Indianapolis Star, and the Indianapolis Business Journal reported that  the $40 million, 94-500-sft luxury hotel at Carmel City Center now has a name – The Carmichael. We are providing structural engineeering services for the project.
  • The Jeffersonville (Indiana) Evening News and Tribune reported that the River Ridge Development Authority rehired American Structurepoint for nearly $1 million to provide construction inspection services for all commerce center’s construction projects in 2018.
  • The LaPorte County Herald-Argus and The Michigan City News-Dispatch reported that a recent electrical fire in the LaPorte County Courthouse in Michigan City highlighted the urgent need for renovations recommended by American Structurepoint architects working on expansion plans for the courthouse.
  • Radio station WBIW of Bedford, Indiana, reported that American Structurepoint is responsible for project plans and construction inspection services for a $1.9 million project to reconstruct Hunters Creek Road in southeast Monroe County that will begin in early April.
  • WRTV Channel 6 and WXIN Channel 59 in Indianapolis reported a construction date remains elusive for the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit project. We designed a portion of the line and are doing program management for Indianapolis DPW.
  • This Week Community News in Columbus, Ohio, reported that the Scioto Darby Road corridor study that we are performing for Hilliard, Ohio should conclude by the end of 2018.
  • The Pendleton Times-Post reported that project engineer Tyler Comstock presented the Lapel Town Board with plans for a Shelby Material Ready Mix Concrete Plant.
  • The Gary Post-Tribune reported that work on the plaza that we designed for the Porter County Administration Building in downtown Valparaiso is behind schedule due to cold weather.
  • Inside Indiana Business reported that Brandon Farley is the secretary for the Indiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for 2018.
  • The Chesterton Tribune reported that the Porter County Indiana Commissioners approved a bridge application services agreement with American Structurepoint.
