The Transform 66 P3 Project in Northern Virginia for which we are providing engineering design services won the top award in the Best Transportation Project category of the 2017 P3 Awards. The $2.3 billion Transform I-66 project extends 22 miles along the I-66 corridor outside of the Washington, D.C., beltway between US 29 near Gainesville in Prince William County and I-495 in Fairfax County. American Structurepoint is a subcontractor to Ferrovial Agroman US for Segment 3 of the project that covers 7 miles of roadway construction; 23 new, replacement, or rehabilitated bridges; and three interchange modifications. Over 20 of our staffers are currently working on designing this segment. The project is the subject of several public hearings this month in the Virginia area. Construction is scheduled to begin yet this fall, with completion to occur in 2022.
