Carmel’s 103rd roundabout at Range Line Road and City Center Drive opened to traffic on time thanks in large part to American Structurepoint’s expertise in program management and the Construction Solutions team overseeing the project. Caleb Edwards reports that our inspection team coordinated the closing of the intersection for only 17 days with as many as 40 people at one time onsite working to ensure the roundabout opened three days ahead of schedule at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 28. Our construction team also coordinated with the Carmel Street Department to decorate the roundabout with hanging flower baskets and US flags to spruce it up for the two-day Independence Day extravaganza known as CarmelFest. The event attracts thousands to the Hamilton County city. Also unique to this project are the raised pedestrian crossings with brick paver inlays that can serve as a new standard for future roundabouts.
