Lafayette Reveals Loeb Stadium Conceptual Designs

American Structurepoint’s conceptual designs of a redesigned Loeb Stadium in Lafayette, Indiana took center stage, or more appropriately home plate, at a June 28 press conference held at the field in Columbian Park. The designs take their inspiration from 1940s-era Art Deco architecture and are based off the Kokomo Municipal Stadium, an award-winning facility that we also designed. Senior Architect Dan McCloskey spoke at the event, telling attendees that the new stadium’s design elements were chosen to maximize use as a multipurpose facility to provide spectator comfort and a community connection. The new $16 million stadium will provide 1,900 seats as well as suite space and grassy areas for lawn seats. A construction timeline also was revealed – the current Loeb Stadium will be demolished after the 2019 Colt World Series, with construction of the new stadium finishing up in the fall of 2020.
