A groundbreaking occurred for Phase I construction at the 1,000 acre-Evans Farm mixed-use development project on Saturday, July 30, in Delaware, Ohio. The event was well-attended by home builders, prospective lot builders, project team members from the various firms involved, and government officials from Orange Township, Delaware County, and the state of Ohio. Evans Farm is being developed as a neo-traditional (new urbanism) community with a range of single and multi-family housing types, community centers, a retail district resembling a small town, bike paths, and more.
American Structurepoint’s responsibilities to date have included surveying, wetland/stream delineations and permitting, phase 1 environmental assessment, traffic impact study, sanitary sewer capacity study, stormwater management study, rezoning, and preliminary development plans. We are now working with the Delaware County Engineer’s Office and Delaware County Regional Sewer District to develop neo-traditional streets sections while working through the preliminary and final engineering process. In phase 1, approximately 140 homes will be built and the Evans Farm “downtown” district. Here’s looking forward to the growth of a beautiful community.
