Friday, August 5 was an exciting evening for both the Indianapolis Indians and our employees’ families at American Structurepoint. Approximately 200 tickets where given to employees and their families to attend the Indians game as part of the company’s 50th anniversary. The Indians played a good game, earning a victory against the Toledo Mud Hens with a final score of 9-3. Pitcher Trevor Williams, one of the Indians’ most-talented players, overcame a slow start by striking out five and scattering seven hits to record the win. Not only did we get to see a home run by the home team, Tom Leahy’s son, Finnegan Leahy, age 5, was the lucky one to catch a foul ball that flew into the stands. Finnegan wasn’t the only child to walk away from the game with a smile. Greg Susemichel’s daughter, Lilah, age 6, lost her first tooth during the game! Multiple American Structurepoint employees like Russ Wilson and Mike Steffy proceeded to give her money, leaving Lilah with $5.25 in rewards. A brief fireworks show after the game, a Friday night tradition at Victory Field, capped off the pleasant, fun evening.
