American Structurepoint Flashback – Our Days in the National Media Sun

For this month’s flashback, we relive those times when American Structurepoint found itself in the national news spotlight. Two times since 2008, we received national news media coverage for our role in the roundabout revolution. In 2008, TIME Magazine contacted us about getting a photo to go along with an article entitled “You Want a Revolution.” We provided the magazine with an image of the roundabout at 116th Street and Illinois Street. American Structurepoint received a photo credit in the magazine’s print edition. The electronic version of that article remains live on time.com; however, you need a paid subscription to read the entire article and see our photo credit from Sept. 8, 2008. Check out the link here.

An American Structurepoint roundabout rendering and our logo received airtime in May 2011 when CNN’s Anderson Cooper interviewed Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard during the Transportation Research Board’s International Conference on Roundabouts that occurred in Carmel.  Our rendering of the 136th Street and Keystone Parkway roundabout and logo were apparent in the background.
