Willard Park is getting a makeover with the help of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, American Structurepoint, and other volunteers. The space is following an Alice in Wonderland theme, incorporating colorful native trees and recycled materials. Accessibility, neighborhood pride, sustainability, and sociability are all goals this project strives to provide the community. American Structurepoint redesigned the trellis to fit into the unique theme. Brandon Farley worked on the architectural design, Kate Oliver and Jared Plank worked on the structural plans, and Erica McQuinn helped with the architectural details. Meyer Najem teamed with us for the service project, helped with supply lists, and brought volunteers. On Saturday, January 16, volunteers braved the cold temps for a community build day working on the House of Cards trellis. This project is set to be completed in the spring so keep an eye out for updates!
