Wrapping Up a Festive Holiday Party

American Structurepoint employees and their families celebrated the holiday spirit in extra special ways on Saturday, December 12 at the Indianapolis Westin. In addition to marking another year of success, the holiday party also featured recognition of our 50 years in business. The employee prizes up for grabs numbered 50 to mark our 50 years of success, and each attendee received a special glass adorned with our 50th anniversary logo. The glasses held champagne sipped after a toast led by our president, Rick Conner, to celebrate 50 years. Beyond that, the event was filled with great food, lively music, and dancing (thanks to new band My Yellow Rickshaw who played nonstop without a break), fun photo booths, and the return of the 50/50 drawing. A big congrats to Mike Slocum who won $1,000 in the 50/50 raffle, while the other $1,000 supported holiday efforts undertaken by our Community Service committee. (See related story).

For those who would like to relive the champagne toast, here it is: “As you all know this year, is the 50th anniversary of American Structurepoint. We’re fortunate enough to have with us tonight two of the formational leaders of our company. Bill Gervasio was one of the founding partners back in 1966. Willard Hale was the head of the Road Group; I learned everything I know today from Bill. Willard was responsible for training Chris Murphy, Cash Canfield, and Greg Henneke. These individuals, along with Jim Wurster and others, formed the foundation for our Mission: to improve the quality of life for our communities and for our people. So without further ado, join me in this toast to our mission, the people with us tonight who let us do it. To the founders who built the foundation of our company, and all of you who make American Structurepoint what it is today!”

We extend special thanks to Michele Collins and Michelle Schmaltz for going the extra mile to organize the party and make sure everything came off without a hitch. Additional special thanks is also extended to Emily Dunn and Karen Gillmore for their design skills in creating the party invitation, tracking attendees, making nametags, and preparing agenda cards for each attendee. Thanks to everyone who attended the Holiday Party and enjoy the photos!
