Groundbreaking Set for Purdue Research Park Aerospace District Project

A groundbreaking ceremony for the first new facility in the Purdue Research Park Aerospace District is set for Thursday, January 14, at 3 p.m. at the West Lafayette location. American Structurepoint is providing architectural, structural, and interior design services for a 50,000-sft facility that the Purdue Research Foundation will own. The foundation will lease a majority of the building to aviation giant Rolls-Royce, who plans to develop and test jet engine components at the new facility, collaborate with Purdue researchers through corporate partnerships, and recruit future talent of Purdue students and graduations. The facility also will feature incubator space for other companies interested in aerospace and aviation development.
