The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Indiana Department of Transportation’s Milton-Madison Bridge project is one of ten finalists for the highest honors given in the America’s Transportation Awards competition, qualifying in two top categories: National Grand Prize and People’s Choice Award. The project had been selected as a regional winner in the “Best Use of Innovation” category for being the longest bridge in North America to be slid laterally into place. American Structurepoint provided construction inspection services that included bridge pier rehabilitation and construction of a new superstructure, new approach piers, abutments, approaches, retaining walls, and pedestrian bridge.
