Giving Back & Honoring Veterans

American Structurepoint’s Terre Haute office hosted its first annual Day of Service last month.  Employees braved one of the first hot days of the summer to remove invasive vines, bushes, and trees to clear the way for a future memorial area to honor all of the Vigo County veterans who have been killed in combat.  The memorial area is at the heart of the Griffin Bike Park in Terre Haute, named in honor of Dale Griffin, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2009.

Working beside Dale’s father, volunteers eradicated all of the invasive plants from the entire memorial site as well as along portions of the newly constructed kids’ mountain bike trail. When complete in 2016, the park will feature nearly 20 miles of trail built for mountain bikers of all ages and experience levels. Thank you to all the American Structurepoint volunteers for your hard work and bringing the park a large step closer to completion.
