Healthpoint: Spring into Cycling

National Bike Month

Cycling is an easy and enjoyable way to improve health. Cycling has been shown to be good for your heart, muscles, waistline, lifespan, coordination, mental health, and immune system. Before getting started, here are some tips to be ready:

Get a Tune Up: Is your bike sitting in a dusty corner of the garage? Find your local bike shop to get it ready to ride.

Learn About Safety: How should your helmet fit? What are the rules of the road?

Know Your Route: Find local trails and designated bike routes.

Remember! Everyone participates; as motorists, we all have to share the road and keep everyone safe.

Bike Tip: It’s important to find a bike that fits your body dimensions and your riding style. Get your bike fit by an expert if you’re serious about riding.
